New Tablet + New Adobe Photoshop

Just recently I got myself a new large sized Intuos 4 Wacom Tablet (after using a 3x4 wacom tablet for 7 years now ahaha) and Adobe Photoshop CS5.1.
Personally, I always preferred using Paint Tool SAI over Photoshop, however, with me taking the Sheridan Animation course this year I knew I would have to get out of that habit.
This time around I decided to try out a lineless painting style which I am still learning how to do.
I was referencing a scene from Sonic Heroes by SEGA to help me practice.
Hopefully I can finish this pic up soon!

1st Place Art Contest Entry

Yep. Another entry for an art contest on yet another game site.
For this image I took a background I did a while back and mixed it with a newly painted image. It's interesting to see how my style has changed over a short period of time...
I need to pay a lot more attention to the lighting and shading in this specific piece but regardless I appreciate all the votes this image got!

Thank you everyone!

Leopets ~ New Pet Species Attempt

Hmm, I was seriously debating on if I should post this or not...
Anyways the title says it all; I'm creating a pet species that may be used on the pet site Leopets.
(No, not Neopets. Leopets is a fan site and is based on the older days of Neo)

Not sure if this is necessary, but just in case:

Old Background WIP

Oh my...ahaha!
This is a fairly old piece that was never finished, as I am sure you can tell.
I admit to layouts being a huge weak point on me...
though I recently got the two Tekkon Kinkreet artbooks which are full of layout concepts and finished art.
I'm hoping that with some proper studying and practice I can turn this WIP around and get a little better before College starts up again.
I'm not usually one to post my digital WIP images, but I guess it's always nice to show before and after a study result right?

Now...to figure out what I want to put in the foreground...

Quick Digital Painting

Here's a quick painting I did of my character Qwuzanku for a contest on a game site.
It didn't win, but I still had a lot of fun with this and I was amazed with what I could complete in about a 2 hour time frame.
I didn't get to go back and fix up the drawing much since I was trying to get this done last minute, (started this about 3 hours before entry submissions closed), but for what it was for I still like it.
